Every trip card states its deposit policy — Refund or Forfeit — before you pay. We never change it after booking.
When Albayt has to cancel a trip (force majeure, supplier failure, or insufficient bookings), you get a full refund or rebooking at no extra cost.
If you cancel, the schedule below applies based on the days remaining before departure.
More than 90 days before departure: full refund minus the deposit (if non-refundable) or full refund (if refundable deposit).
60–89 days before departure: 50% of the trip cost refunded.
30–59 days before departure: 25% of the trip cost refunded.
0–29 days before departure: no refund (we strongly recommend travel insurance).
The deposit secures your seat and is used to lock in visa slots, hotel blocks and airline group seats. Where the deposit is shown as "Refund" on the trip card it is fully refundable until 90 days out. Where shown as "Forfeit" it is non-refundable from the moment of payment.
If a traveller cannot continue with the booking, you can transfer the seat to another eligible traveller for a flat fee of $75 — provided the change request reaches us at least 21 days before departure and the new traveller can pass visa requirements in time.
If you cancel for medical reasons with supporting documentation we will refund whatever your travel insurance does not cover, up to the standard schedule. We are not a substitute for travel insurance — please take it out.
Where a trip is disrupted by events beyond reasonable control (pandemic, war, airspace closure) we refund any unused trip costs and rebook you on the next available departure at no additional fee.
Cancel from your customer dashboard or by emailing ops@albaytpilgrimage.com. Refunds are processed within 14 working days to the original payment method.
